ObsidianWire T 3-Way Universal Harness

I'm not a fan of soldering so I decided to give this solderless harness a try in my new partscaster. It's a very crafty design, there is a small dial which you can use to set the desired resistance for each of the pickups separately, either 250K (single coil) or 500K (humbucker).

Instructions were quite simple, but after I assembled everything I got no sound. I checked every connection with multimeter and disconnected and reconnected everything. It took a while to find the problem: the output jack connector is very tight and there is a step before the input jack is in place. I thought I had the cable connected because of this, but in fact it was only in the first step and I had to push it ever further down.

Aside from the unusual input jack design, my only complaint is the quality of the quick connector for the pickup wires. It doesn't feel too sturdy and if you try out new pickups often, it might not last very long. The switch also has a bit of play in the lever, but works well enough.

I wrote a rather neutral review for Obsidianwire earlier this year (for single cut harness) because of too soft of pots and mediocre 3 way toggle switch.
This time they nailed it. The cap is 0.22nF, which I like a lot for single coils and not many suppliers provide S or T type harnesses with 0.22. Plus, you can go 500K or 250K with pots. You can even assign 250 and 500 to different pickups thanks to the clever circuit. This is a very flexible and usable harness. Switch, output jack and solderless terminal are of good quality.
Important points that are not mentioned in the product description:
The pots are split shaft but solid shaft ferrules are included in the package! Which is a very good thing as you can use your screwed in standard tele knobs.
And switch screws are also included in the package. This is a huge bonus again. Switch tip was included in the single cut harness but is not included this time.

Habitué de la marque mojotone , je me suis laissé seduire par la possibilitée en plus de pouvoir a loisir choisir la configuration micro , toujours sans soudures , ce qui est un enorme avantage , montage tres facile sur ma Squier CV 50 made in china , pour ceux qui veulent savoir , a l interieur du colis il y a deux petites canule qui se mettent sur les potards dentelé pour ceux qui comme moi ont des bouton de volume et tonalité pour axe lisse , tres pratique , pour le moment , rien a dire , tres bon produit .

Habe mir das vorverdrahtete Bestellt da ich keine Lust hatte alles selbst zu verlöten. Faulheit kostet eben :)

Erstmal zum Umbau. Also die Anleitung die dabei ist, ist wirklich sehr einfach gehalten. Man sollte sich das ganze nur genau anschauen. Ich habe versucht die falsche Schaltung zu nutzen bis ich gesehen habe das es ja verschiedene Möglichkeiten gibt. Naja Augen aufmachen ;)

Alles eingebaut und getestet. Kein Rauschen und ein wunderbar klarer Ton. Ich bilder mir ja fast ein das es tatsächlich etwas besser ist als vom großen F.

Ich werde es für zukünftige Umbauten aufjeden Fall wieder kaufen! Klare Kaufempfehlung!
