Basically lowcost
I use them on my Squier Affinity Precision, originally with fender strings. Rotosounds are fine to touch. I don''t need the popular steel sound, so I don't mind that after couple of weeks, the sound is kind of thick. I changed strings once per a year. The paper cover is very likeable and I have a feeling that rotosound's bass strings are better then guitar's, but still it isn't high end.
