Roland PDX-12 12" V-Drum Pad

I decided to purchase a Roland PDX-12 pad to expand the set of my Roland TD-17KV drum kit, which I have been using for almost 5 years. The set of this drum kit includes a Roland PDX-12 pad, which is used as a snare drum pad. I added a Roland PDX-12 pad as an additional floor tom pad. This pad has a large size of -12 inches, which is very close to the full-size snare drum. It is very comfortable. The pad has a mesh work surface on which it is comfortable to play, the surface is very quiet when playing. The pad has two sensors that allow you to adjust two different sounds to the center and to the rim of the drum. As I wrote above, I have been using the Roland PDX-12 pad as part of the drum kit for almost 5 years and during this time I have not had any complaints about the operation of this pad. The Roland PDX-12 pad is made of high quality and has a low weight with a large enough size, it is very convenient when using a drum kit at live performances.

Es un pad sólido pero con un problema en cuanto al senson trigger (definitivamente deberia estar en el centro de la caja) , con el uso (dentro de la misma sesion) hay golpes que se pierden, tengo la sensacion de que este pad corresponde a un paso intermedio entre el PDX8 y las cajas mas caras de ROLAND que no ha llegado a materializarse correctamente. Yo no lo volvería a comprar. (mucho mas fiable el PDX8 que este)

Habe mir das Drum Pad als Erweiterung für mein TD 15 Modul geholt.
Bin bisher sehr zufrieden, habe bisher 6 Stunden (jeweils 3x2 Std. am Stück) darauf gespielt.
Durch das Gewicht eignet sich wohl ein klassischer Snareständer etwas besser, als das Pad am Roland-Gestell zu befestigen.
Die Spielbarkeit ist sehr angenehm und vielseitig, RimShots werden sehr gut angenommen, der Rebound ist sehr ähnlich einer akustischen Snare. Die Verarbeitung ist Roland typisch sehr gut, auch wenn hier kein Metall am Kessel verarbeitet wurde, sondern das gesamte Pad aus Kunststoff besteht. Einzig die Befestigungsschraube aus Kunststoff hat mich noch nicht zu 100% überzeugt, hier vertraue ich jedoch ganz auf die 3 Jahre Garantie und die darüber hinaus gehende Thomann typische Kundenfreundlichkeit und Kulanz ;-)

Fazit: Ein sehr gutes Pad, welches ich jedem empfehlen kann, der eine größere Spielfläche für die Snare nicht missen möchte. In Verbindung mit den PDX-100 Pads als Toms eine Traumkombination.

Zum Einsatzbereich: Ich spiele Punk, Rock, Metal und etwas Funk und kann mich über Defizite gegenüber einer akustischen Snare bisher nicht beschweren :-)
