Positive Grid Spark Pedal

As a Spark 40 user, I knew what to expect from a Positive Grid product, so I didn't hesitate to order this hot new release. My first impressions are absolutely excellent. The unit arrived with a charged battery; I quickly tested its functionality, made a coffee while the pedal performed a fast wireless update, and then plugged it into my Headrush FRFR Go to compare the same presets on both devices. In terms of sound quality, the Spark Pedal and Headrush Go combo clearly comes out on top. I appreciate the simplicity of the setup—it can be done almost instantly without an iPhone (though using one would naturally take the editing experience to the next level). I also use Neural DSP VST plugins; while that’s a different category, a brief comparison is worth making. With the Spark 40 combo, I always noticed very distinct differences [compared to high-end gear], but with the Pedal, I’m able to dial in sounds I really like—sounds I’d definitely use in recordings for the first time. As for the build quality, it’s incredibly robust for such a small box, and I expect it to be durable. It certainly needs to be, because I plan to keep it for a long time.

Mittlerweile sind bei mir im Haus und im Wohnmobil bereits drei Spark-Verstärker im Einsatz – allesamt hervorragende Produkte zum Üben.

Mit dem Spark Pedal habe ich jetzt aber endlich das Produkt gefunden, das sich für mich auch im Proberaum perfekt einsetzen lässt. Angeschlossen an meinen Röhrenverstärker liefert es einen erstklassigen Klang, bei einfachster und gewohnter Bedienung. Per Knopfdruck lassen sich meine zu Hause erstellten und gewohnten Presets abrufen und wechseln – Top!

Das Spark Pedal schließt die Lücke im Sparkuniversum. Wer darauf steht mit dem Handy Sounds zu erstellen der wird damit glücklich. Für mich ist das leider nichts. Wenn ich was üben will oder mal spontan was spielen ,dann möchte ich die Gitarre nehmen und losspielen und nicht ne halbe Stunde mit dem Handy umhertickern um mir einen Sound zu kreieren. Daran kommt man ja leider in der heutigen Zeit nicht mehr vorbei und in dieser Liga spielt spark sehr gut mit. Für mich hat das nichts mehr mit Musik zu tun , eher mit Handygaming ,zumal die App sich ständig schliesst weil man wo was falsch klickt und dann muss man sich immer wieder neu im Bluetoth anmelden und und und.... Eine App für den PC gibt es leider nicht.
Fazit:
Wer gerne am Handy daddelt wird mit dem Spark Pedal seine Freude haben.
