Ich hatte zuvor ein American Cut Kunststoff-Blatt von Legere, das mir zu hell im Klang war. Auf der Suche nach einem holzigeren dunkleren Ton habe ich dann das French Cut in Stärke 2 bestellt. Es ist deutlich weicher und dunkler im Klang, die Ansprache ist sehr gut Die Stärke 2 passt gut. In Holz spiele ich 2 und 2,5 je nach Marke. Mein neues French Cut habe ich nach nur 3 Tagen Eingewöhnung gleich bei einem kleinen privaten Musikabend gespielt. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, da es dem Klang eine natürlichen Rohrblatts sehr nahe kommt und natürlich sofort spielbereit ist. Gerade vor Publikum gibt es mir als noch nicht so geübtem Spieler die nötige Sicherheit, dass ich mich voll auf die Interpretation des Musikstücks konzentrieren kann. Ich spiele Latin, Blues und auch mal Hits aus den 80ern. Gerne auch mal langsamere einfühlsame Stücke, bei denen ich den weichen Klang brauche und sehr liebe. Die Qualität des Blatts ist super (war auch bei meinem American Cut so), das Blatt kommt in einer schönen Schutzschachtel, so dass man es auch gut und sicher transportieren kann: Fazit: Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir!

Ich würde das Blatt sofort wieder kaufen. Ich habe noch ein Legere Classic welches etwas heller und klarer klingt. Das French Cut ist samtiger und dunkler. Top. Es klingt gut und bietet mir nur Vorteile gegenüber Blättern aus Holz. Also ich bleibe bei diesen Blättern und die die Vandoren Holzblätter gehen jetzt in Rente! Von mir uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.
