What a steal!

After years of playing an ESP LTD EC-1000 and an ESP LTD TE-1000, I decided to try something completely different and picked up a Sire Larry Carlton I5S during Thomann's Guitar Days for 444 euros. I'm blown away!
For this price, the spec sheet is ridiculous:
- Stainless steel frets
- Roasted maple neck and fingerboard
- Two-point tremolo
- HSS configuration
- Push-push coil split on the humbucker
- Locking tuners

What really sold me, though, is the design. It has a compact single-cut body that feels closer to a Les Paul, but with the scale length, neck profile and ergonomics of a Strat or Tele. For me, that's the best of both worlds.

The only downside for me personally, and this is just a cosmetic preference, is that I had to swap the stock cream pickup covers for black ones and the cream Vol/Tone buttons for silver chrome dome knobs., and I think it really suits the guitar. I don't really understand why Sire chose cream covers, it ruins its aesthetic.

I genuinely can't believe what Sire managed to pack into a guitar at this price point. If someone handed me this without telling me the price, I'd have guessed it cost significantly more.

Gute Gitarre für fairen Preis

Ich habe die Sire Gitarre bestellt weil sie mir auf Anhib gefallen hat und sie im Angebot vergünstigt war. Die Bespielbarkeit ist ziemlich gut durch den schlanken Hals und das abgerundete Griffbrett. Der Sound der Singel Tonabnehmer war mir zunächst zu dumpf, da die Höhen nicht klirren. Habe aber zu guter letzt mit meinem Multieffekt einen super Cleansound hinbekommen. Durch den massiven Body ist die Gitarre für meinen Geschmack ein wenig schwer. Aber man gewöhnt sich dran.
Alles zusammen eine solide, gute Gitarre zu einem angemessenen Preis.
Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen.
Ergänzung: Ich habe die Gitarre jetzt einige Zeit und muss sagen, sie gefällt mir immer besser. Das Spielgefühl und der Sound sind genial.
