Jackson JS2 Concert Bass Satin Black

Its a budget bass. I brought this to drag to band practice as it was cheap, light and looked pretty metal. I figured itd be a great bass to have to take from home to practice and if it got dinged in transit or while smashing about in a room with band mates, I wouldnt be too gutted. But I was really surprised at how much i loved playing this bass!
The QC was a bit ropey, some fret sprouting and loose nuts under the pick up control knobs wasn't the end of the world considering what I had payed for it. A quick set up but a local guitar tech sorted that out and now I rarely put this thing down.
The look and feel of this bass while playing tick all the boxes, the sound is just fine for practice but keep in mind that killer matte black finish is a complete finger print magnet! The weight is a huge advantage for long sessions as you barely feel it on your shoulder and its extremely well balanced.
All in all, a great bass as a back up, beginner bass or just something to smash about on because its so fun, but will it undoubtedly be overshadowed buy even the JS3 or something in the £500 range and beyond.

Sou um guitarrista de Metal que é fã da marca Jackson. A minha guitarra de eleição é a Jackson Randy Rhoads! Mas como gosto de fazer as minhas gravações caseiras, sempre tive o sonho de ter um baixo Jackson. E consegui concretizar o sonho!

Este baixo será porventura o baixo mais económico da Jackson neste momento, não contando com os "minion". Optei pela versão preto com acabamento "satin". Normalmente prefiro acabamentos lisos e brilhantes, mas face às opções, escolhi este.

Trata-se de um instrumento robusto, com um ótimo acabamento, e muito funcional.
Os afinadores são muito bons e tudo neste instrumento poderia justificar um preço mais elevado. Ou quase tudo, pois é de braço aparafusado.
Usado simplesmente com um Fender Rumble 15, que é um amplificador simples, produz um excelente som. Juntando uma pedaleira Zoom B1Xon, fica com infinitas possibilidades.

Habe den Bass gekauft um in einer Metal Band als Bassist einzusteigen.
Wichtig war für mich, dass der Bass mit Humbuckern bestückt ist, einen Ahorn Hals hat und Schwarz ist. Hatte mich ursprünglich für einen Dean Metalman Bass entschieden, dann aber auf den Jackson umentschieden, da ich den Jackson eine Stufe Schmackhafter finde aufgrund des doppelten Humbuckers.
Meine Ansprüche sind voll und ganz befriedigt.
Negativ zu betrachten ist, dass das Mattschwarze Finish wahrscheinlich auf Dauer sehr Empfindlich sein wird.
Bei der Verarbeitung sind ein paar kleine Fehlerchen mit aufgefallen, aber keine, die wirklich stören bzw, die man nicht selbst schnell gefixt hat. (Beispielsweise sind die Tuner nicht zu 100% gerade eingeschraubt)
Im Großen und ganzen eine absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle, die einen günstigen Bass für Metal suchen.
