These snare wires was a perfect fit for my 10" Yamaha Snare (made in Indonesia) both sonically and as for their design. They worked well right out of the box without any adjustments, nor fine-tuning. I didn't use those laces that are being delivered with the snare wires, but used some good solid mylar Puresound's snare straps.


Fat Cat FCS10 worked perfectly! It might not work for you, but it did for me!

Ich habe wirklich von ganz feinen Schrittchen an der Stellschraube bis 1/4 Umdrehungs-Schritten alles ausprobiert.
Aufgrund der Anzahl der Spiralen dieses Teppichs war mir bei der 10"-Snare der Teppichanteil zu dominant und das ließ sich auch mit der Verstellmöglichkeit nicht in den Griff kriegen - einen Versuch war's wert.
Wie sich diese FarCat-Teppiche auf größeren Snares machen kann und will ich aber nicht beurteilen.

Fazit: für den Preis gibt's Alternativen, die für mich besser funktionieren.

Ich hab die kleine 10“ Sonor Jungle Snare damit bestückt.
Resultat: Mehr Snare aber weicher, fetter... Naja, bei ner 10“X02“ Snare mit Schellen an der Seite kann man jetzt nicht viel Bottom erwarten aber ein bisschen mehr kommt das einem Vintage Sound näher.

Ich hab den Tepich auf meine Side Snare gepackt und wo vorher nur ein mittelmässiger und vor allem in höheren Lage ( genau da wo man Side Snares ein zusetzen pflegt ) ein etwas pappiger Sound vor herrschte, war nun ein satter und differenzierte Teppichsound mit perfekter Ansprache! Durch die Möglichkeit die mitleren 12 Spiralen noch etwas lockern zu können, wird der Sound noch fetter und runder! Top Produkt! unbedingt antesten!!!
