Step up to the next level
Specific, but very nice and rich sound, especially with humbucker configuration. I used it on my Squier Affinity. It was really step forward, step to the next level regarding sound quality.
Plus: Nice heavy sound. Very easy assembly. Made with precision. Very low battery power consumption.
Minus: You must find suitable space for the battery or battery box.

Excellent replacement pickguard
I decided to swap original pickups on my custom strat for new ones. After I found out about this SL20 loaded pickguard for a price of maybe the less than the pickups themself. The installation was super easy - just 1 cable to jack was required to solder, everything else was ready. I really love the sound of the single coil pickups and even when played through high gain amp they are completely quiet due to the active technology. The humbucker tone is not that perfect as I am used to with high-end passive HBs, but still matches well with the single coils
