It only needs a gentle hit and produces full spectrum clangs on the chinese gongs and bright balanced blooms on Paiste and other european gongs. My only concern is whether the fabric on the head will last but otherwise, a really great mallet. As Dragonfly don't publish stats, the head is 80mm diameter and it all weighs about 165g.

this mallet is excellent not for gongs, bur for singing bowls and large harmonic tubes, because you do not hear any inconvenient additional noises resulting from the external material, which is soft.
