As a beginner on the recorder, approaching a sopranino was quite a challenge for me. At first,i t takes some time getting used to the close spacing of the finger holes—it’s easy for the fingers to bump into each other. However, with a bit of practice, the hand position becomes natural and the instrument responds well.

One of the first things that stood out to me is its design. It is a truly elegant recorder, with a refined finish that makes it enjoyable from the very beginning. The three-piece construction is very practical: it allows for slight adjustments to improve comfort (especially for the little finger) and makes cleaning much easier.

As for the sound, it is surprisingly expressive. The low notes have a strong presence and remain well in tune. Overall, it offers a pleasant and characterful tone.

In summary, this is an excellent option for anyone looking to get started with the sopranino: a bit challenging at first, but very rewarding once you get used to it.

Very easy to play, high quality, three pieces

I am quite new to recorders but, having experience in other instruments, people that now what they are doing say I am progressing really fast. This recorder is the newest addition to my consort (Tenor, Alto, Soprano and now Sopranino). I had never played sopranino before. The sound is high but not that piercing and fairly easy to play in tune. The response is great. The three piece construction is a plus compared to other similar instruments.
