Very high Pitched..but that's the name of the game here.
I rather have the red series because of the guitar range and the resonation and color of the instrument seems more interesting an octave lower: deeper, louder, more colorful. Anyways, I am happy I tried them, it is a good product.

Too high

The sound is just too high in my opinion, which takes away motivation to play my guilele.
Even though these are new, I will change them back to A, D, G, C, e, a tuning.

Guitalele ist keine Gitarre

Eine Guitalele ist keine Guitarre, ganz gleich welche Saiten man aufzieht. Alle Saitenarten für dieses Instrument stellen einen Kompromiss dar zwischen leichter Bespielbarkeit und akzeptablem Klang. Eine Ausnahme stellt aber der Set High E Satz dar. Dessen Saitenspannung macht aus der kleinen Guitalele zwar immer noch keine Gitarre, aber er verleiht ihr einen unvergleichlichen und einzigartigen Klang, der im Neuzustand der Saiten äußerst brilliant ist. Und im Zusammenspiel mit anderen Gitarren klingt sie dann nicht einfach wie eine kleine "Ersatzgitarre", sondern eben wie ein eigenständiges Instrument. Wer auf der Suche nach einem interessanten Klang ist, wird hier fündig. Leider nimmt die Brillianz der Saiten im Gebrauch relativ schnell ab. Sie nutzen sich auch relativ schnell an den Stellen der Bünde ab. Die hohe E-Saite hält meistens nicht sehr lange durch, sie reisst öfter als alle anderen Saiten. Wegen des einzigartigen Klangergebnisses bin ich aber bei diesen Saiten geblieben. Ich habe übrigens in meine Yamaha GL-1 ein Kontaktmikro eingebaut. So kommt die volle Brillianz zur Geltung.
