Beautiful replacement!
My 5 string Warvick had Just A Nut I which are made of plastic and tend to be easily broken. It had "ears" that held the actual nut in position sideways. Over time they become brittle and break easily.
I ordered this one for replacement. No regrets there. It is made of two solid pieces of precision machined brass and looks great with gold colored hardware!
The installation was easy. There are great instructions on Warvick's website:
thing to note though! I noticed that it is a slightly taller nutpiece compared to Just A Nut I. This isn't necessarily a problem with fretted basses. I have a fretless so the strings can be a little lower in the nut. I had the nut all the way down but I still needed to file the string slots a little to get the same action as I had with the previous nut, but it took less than 15 minutes to get them all just perfect!

The Best Warwick Upgrade
If your Warwick has a plastic nut and you only ever do 1 upgrade to your Bass, then upgrading to the brass nut is the one you should do.

Upgrade on sustain
I upgraded my old warwick thumb 5 string bass after like 25 years graphite nut screw treads worn out and i must say it looks amazing and i feel like the sustain of bass improved, highly recomended upgrade

Really easy to Install
The bass sounds slightly different, which it's good since I didn't want to change it much the color of the sound and make it fizzy, but the bass resonates better when open strings are played and you feel that while you play it unplugged. Not much of a drastic difference in the sound when recorded but the bass feels different now, and matches the whole hardware. I really like this upgrade.

The perfect upgrade for your 5 string Warwick
If you are lucky enough to have a Warwick bass but dont have a brass nut fitted then this is the perfect upgrade! Now you will have a more even tone between fretted and open notes as, like the frets on you Warwick, this nut is also brass.
These brass Just a Nut IIIs are more durable than the Tedur versions as well. They also look great! Though you may need to give them a bit of a polish to get it looking it's best :-)

It Works
Replaced the original Just A Nut on my 1991 Warwick with this. Needed to do some filing on the nut slot to get this sitting right, as it's a bit bigger than the original Just A Nut.
The Just A Nut III allows for more precise adjustments to string height at the nut compared to the original.

Looks fantastic, works fine. It does improve the open string sound clarity a bit.

Brilliant upgrade
I bought this to upgrade the non-metal Just A Nut I have on my Corvette $$ 5-string. It' precision engineered, so already fitted the strings, perfect width and depth, glued in easily and of course allows for perfect string height adjustment. It looks amazing, but also now gives me bell brass frets and nut for consistent tone.
It's a great upgrade, improves the looks and tone - it's not cheap, but sometimes things are just right to do, and this is one of them.
