Probably, the easiest ligature to use. Well built, solid feel and the mate black finish is very elegant. I find the sound very focused and the reed is very well maintained. The plates are silver plated and may arrive slighlty tarnished, but it's easy to clean and polish it with any dedicated silver cleaning product.

Vandoren Optimum Ligature
Sturdy, firm on the reed. Dependable. Reed resonates nicely.
Maybe on the darker side from what we used to with Optimum ligatures.
