Expensive, but good.

OK, this cost €150 including delivery/postage, for one pickup!

At first I was a bit underwhelmed, the sound was just OK, but then I ran it through proper equipment it sounded much better, with no audible difference to a full size (chrome-covered) humbucker.

I didn't use split pots etc, so felt I did lose the "classic" Strat sound, but that doesn't really bother me.

Also, the cream color closely matches, but is not identical to the cream pickups in the MIM Player 2.

Tut was er soll, korrekter Preis. Die Kabellängen sind praxisnah, das beigelegte Stück Erklärpapier klar und hilfreich. Der Output hat die richtige Menge Signal, d.h. nicht auffällig lauter oder leiser als die andern üblichen Verdächtigen für den Zweck. Klar müßt ihr selber beurteilen, ob das für EUCH das richtige Ding ist, aber am Pickup gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Le but était d élargir de manière efficace la plage et la dynamique des fréquences aiguës. Ce micro remplit définitivement cette fonction. On a une « grosse patate » sans agression et une définition plutôt précise. Je valide l achat….

Leider ist der Pickup ein bißchen die Katze im Sack.
Der Pickup klingt entfernt wie der Jeff Beck - allerdings fehlt mir der Druck von den tieferen Saiten und er kommt etwas komprimiert daher - was andere vielleicht als Vorteil sehen. Den etwas dünneren Sound (im Vergleich zu dem Jeff Beck Humbucker) kann man sicher etwas durch Klangregelung und größerer Box im unteren Mittenbereich anheben. Im Bandgefüge habe ich das auch gar nicht so bemerkt. Im Gegenteil, ich konnte den Sound sogar besser orten.
Am Ende habe ich den Pickup trotzdem wieder verkauft.
