Good for fiddling
Pyramid offers a good quality solid product. Keep in mind it's a METAL string so it will never have the warmth or feel of a synthetic core string. If you're expecting it to sound like a Dominant or Evah, you'll certainly be disappointed. However, it's a good bright string for fiddle players that want a solid, stable and loud string, in the vein of Prims or Prazision.
The pitch was very wobbly at first but you can mitigate the problem by adding a couple turns of torsion when installing the string, by rotating the ball end a couple turns. Also, the wobbly pitch tends to disappear after the string has stabilized.
In a nutshell, a good solid and cheap string that will suit fiddle players but may disappoint the classical players.
