Perfect start for an starting house DJ!
I bought the Numark Party Mix MKII as my very first controller to practice at home. I am an aspiring house DJ, heavily inspired by artists like Chris Luno, so I mostly play melodic and deep house. This little machine is perfect for that!
My favorite feature is definitely the dedicated Filter knobs in the middle – they feel great and make transitions sound very smooth. The built-in audio interface works flawlessly, just plug and play. The built-in light show is a fun bonus for late-night bedroom sessions. At first, I had some annoying issues connecting the controller to my PC, but it turned out to be a Windows system problem, not the controller's fault.
I am actually returning this unit with a heavy heart only because the new MK3 version was just released. I am immediately upgrading to the MK3 to get those 8 pads and the new Stems feature! However, the Party Mix lineup is absolutely incredible and still the best budget option on the market. Highly recommended!
