Good-sounding strings, but very high tension for Turkish tuning
Briefly, on a 58.5 mm scale oud, I find this set to be well-calibrated for Arabic DGAdgc tuning, not Turkish/Armenian EABead as La Bella claims. The 5th course and 6th string work fine in Turkish DF#Bead or EF#Bead, but all other courses are thickly gauged for Turkish tuning, especially the first course, whose tension is even quite high when tuned cc. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th courses are also better suited to Arabic tuning. That said, these strings sound great when tuned appropriately, but for a 58.5 cm oud and Turkish tuning, a better (and safer) set can be assembled by buying individual La Bella wound strings - e.g., 044/.032/.024/.021 (inches) - and Savarez or Pyramid PVF trebles (0.50 mm for dd, 0.60-0.63 mm for aa).
