The right rack

A tiered stand for drum machines, MIDI controllers, and yes, keyboards is a space saver and a sturdy replacement for any desk. In the US I couldn't find any company that sold a rigid multi-tiered stand that I could trust with my irreplaceable gear. Searching the vintage forums, Jaspers was mentioned time and time again. And Thomann was often mentioned in the same posts.
Glad I invested in a Jaspers 5-tier stand. The quality and finish is unparalleled to anything I can find in my country. The tubing is even milled on the ends to remove the sharp burrs every-other manufacturer leaves in place to slice up fingers when assembling.
Jaspers pre-aligns the vertical T-fittings so horizontal tubes inserted are instantly level. These are just some of the fine details that set Jaspers apart from other brands.
The stand arrived in less than a week to the US. The contents of the shipping carton were well protected for international travel. Thomann provided excellent communication throughout the process.
The assembly instructions were minimal, but the stand goes together easily with those instructions.
I'm extremely happy with the Jaspers design and build quality. And I would not hesitate to order from Thomann's again because of their customer service and ease of web ordering.

Solid and secure stand

After reading people say that A-frames stands aren't very secure I was apprehensive about putting my Sequential synths on this. However it is totally solid and I've not experienced any movement.

I would therefore recommend this to anyone who needs a 5 tier stand.

These are great ingenious products

I am not a keyboard player but I recognized the quality in Engineering and functionality (please see my review on the 4D) I preferred this model because it is the taller of the two options 300mm higher. However preferences may vary from one person to another. I certainly don't have 5 keyboards, (just 2) but all the extra arms come in handy for mounting other devices. Bear in mind however that this model is considerably harder to assemble than the the 4D and can end up being very wobbly. I think this is the reason that unlike the 4D Version it comes with adjustable stabilizers in case you don't get it right. The difference is that you can vary the base width of the 4D to compensate but this is fixed on the 5D. I would have ended up spending hours and hours winding and unwinding using the Allen key provided if not for my nifty bit of improvisation. I Shaved of the return angle on the Allen key and fitted it into an electric screw driver. "Simples"
