Surprisingly good for the money

For the record, I ended up returning it because of a significant neck dive which was noticeable even when playing standing up with a strap.

That aside, I was very surprised how good this bass is. Neck was nicely finished (but on the chunky side), frets were not sprouting out, easy to play and set the action around 2 mm on E string. The truss rod adjustment with the wheel on the body side was marvelous - every bass should have it there like that! Pickups were decent (not the best of course, but definitely very usable tone), paint work was very nice, too (also matching headstock in this price range, wow!).

If it only had better balance out of the box (maybe a slimmer neck profile and lightweight tuners would help there), I'd have probably kept it.

I can definitely recommend trying it out, maybe your example would have better balance!
