Dissapointed
I got these tuners purely because they were vintage locking (to replace my telecaster ones). I thought they would be great tuners considering the brand and price. Very disappointed. They have an empty jump before they engage (all 6 of them not just one). I have used Harley Benton locking tuners innthe past but they are way better than these Gotoh ones. If you just need lockibg tuners, go with the Harley Benton ones. I have used 7sets of HB locking tuners, no problems whatsoever. I just with that Harley Benton bring a locking vintage set out. Come on Thomann, you can do it.

Great tuners
Note to anyone wanting to put these on a Harley Benton like me: I don't know what standard of measurement Harley Benton uses.. the holes in the headstock measured 8.25 mm average. The smallest ferrules this kit comes with is 8.65mm. I bought a 8.5mm drill bit to open up the holes a bit and that'll work. The ferrules aren't super even either, some fit first try, some needed the drill to be ran through a second time.
The provided screws are also longer than the holes on the HB ST-62DLX. A 1.5mm bit is your friend here. Remember to wrap some tape or something around the bit so you dont drill too far in.
Other than that these are great tuners. Not a bad word to say about them. A great upgrade for the HB if you're cool with doing some work.

Great quality for price
I loved em and even the look just coges a vintage modern touch that fits perfect, the only defect is (from my perspective) is that that screws are a bit too long and if it’s not done carefully you can actually make cracks in the wood

Expected great quality from Gotoh
Quality-wise, those are the typical Gotoh tuners: they work as perfectly as expected.
On behalf of features, there are several types of locking mechanisms, in my opinion, this is one of the best. Try to avoid the self-locking (HAPM), since they might not work as well as expected.
In general, this is a no-brainer upgrade for any Fender-ish guitar with vintage-style tuners.

Really good upgrade
I got a Squier CV tele which is a good instrument but I wanted to upgrade some hardwares on it like the locking tuners. I'm surprised on the difference between the 2 tuners: it's much easier to change the strings and it keeps the sound now.

Great upgrade!
I bought these to replace the plastic standard tuners on my Harley Benton baritone. The Gotoh's were very easy to fit, are much more reassuring (no fear of these snapping even with much heavier strings!) and the locking option makes changes much faster. Highly recommended :)
