Surprisingly great
I bought these snares for a very specific job - I own an early 1980's Yamaha 9000 snare drum which requires a longer snare wire. Sadly the Yamaha wires are very hard to come by so ordered this just on the off chance that I might do the job. And do the job it does!
Now the drum is set up with these wires it plays like a dream, the sensitivity is extraordinary and the backbeat is fat and full.

Happy with it
Needed to replace my very old wires. Personally I'm happy with it. Quality is good, sound is good for me too. Of course the sound question is very personal. What sounds good to me does not need to be liked by someone else.

The one to get for the older 80's - 90's Yamaha snare drums
Those are the snare wires to get for the older Yamaha snare drums made in the 80's and 90's that use longer snare wires. Perfect fit and sound fine.
