From Good to Great – Instantly
I own two units of the Carnaby 500 and use them regularly in stereo or in mid/side mode for tricky mixes. This EQ has become a fixture on nearly every one of my mixes. Great also for vocal buss or whatever buss :))
The way the harmonic saturation brings life to the sound is truly remarkable.. just a slight adjustment of the frequencies and voilà - the mix instantly feels more vibrant, musical, and cohesive. Sometimes it’s almost unbelievable how much of a difference it makes once you engage the bypass and realize how far it has elevated the sound.
The build quality is good, the controls are intuitive, and the sonic results are consistently inspiring. If you are looking for a musical, flexible, and powerful EQ for your 500-series rack, I can’t recommend the Carnaby 500 highly enough.
