Excellent Drum Synth with Huge Creative Potential
The Nord Drum 3 is an absolutely phenomenal drum pad. Its greatest strength is the ability to create your own sounds from scratch. The sounds are incredibly lively and dynamic, sometimes even comparable to the feel of acoustic drums.
It's capable of producing everything from deep, powerful percussion to highly unusual and experimental sounds, including aggressive distortion. One of my favorite features is how the sound responds to playing dynamics. The harder or softer you hit the pad, the more the sound changes, making every performance feel more natural and expressive.
My only criticism is the single stereo (L/R) output. I would have loved to see individual mono outputs for each pad, which would make studio recording and mixing much more flexible. I would also welcome USB connectivity and a dedicated software editor (plugin) for faster and more convenient sound editing.
