Behringer 69 Vibe

I've never owned or used a real univibe as it was always just too expensive, even for the clones. I do own a software version though (bought a whole software package just for this effect!) And I love Hendrix so knew exactly what I wanted to hear. It shouldn't be a surprise then that I like it best on the neck pickup of my strat running into a tube marshall with a closed back cab. It creates a "push" to the sound that I wasn't expecting which changes the way you play (in a good way) It seems pretty authentic to me which is all the more amazing given that this is a re-design not a clone. Pretty sure the original can't run on battery power :) Build quality is really good too. There is some modulated noise, but this doesn't get in the "way" of the sound. And it does lose a little bass end but I would expect that from any "chorus" type effect, and since it preserves the character of your guitar it's not a problem either. I did get a slight loss in overall gain running into a vintage germanium transistor amp but another pedal in-between would solve that. So all in all this is awesome especially given the killer price.
